Engagement Sessions

Engagement Sessions are a great way to try us out before the wedding :) If we are photographing your wedding, we waive our session fee as long as we can schedule the shoot for 3 or more months before your wedding.

Session Fee

We will waive our session fee if your shoot is scheduled (3) three or more months before your wedding date. If we are not photographing your wedding or you would like to do the shoot closer than 3-months to your wedding, the fee is $195.

Schedule
It’s a date! Click the 'Schedule Your Session' button below and let us know a date that works for you. We like to try and schedule sessions for about an hour before sunset.

Shoot
Kate and Alex will spend an hour or a little more with you on location. For location shoots, we like to have at least a couple of locations - think downtown Halifax and Point Pleasant park for example.

Viewing Session
Within as little as 12 hours, but usually a week, of the session, we will have you out to our studio for a viewing /ordering session.

Questions

The session does not include any files or other products. We purposely keep our session fee low to make it easy for couples to try us out. You’re under no obligation to purchase a thing. We hope that you like your images enough to invest but don’t worry about any sales pressure after the session - we’re not into that :)
If we are shooting your wedding and you book your session more than 3 months from your wedding date, we’ll waive our session fee.
We do! For sessions that are outside a 30km radius of Peninsular Halifax, there is a travel fee of $0.75 per km each way.
There are lots of options including save the date cards, invitations, and slideshows. Using them in frames around the reception including on the dinner tables is another idea. Our most popular option is our Italian-made signature guest albums - see video above.
Any season works including winter! We usually try to schedule the session for about an hour before sunset for the best light.
